Summary: Despite the weather we had a lovely few days in Whakatane. The Bach was perfect for our needs and a fully fenced garden for the dog is an added bonus. Just sorry we couldn’t use the pool!

Summary: Very clean and tidy and Trish was absolutely lovely. Made us feel very welcomed and nothing was too hard. The only thing I will say, is the pull out couch is quite uncomfortable. Otherwise, perfect

Summary: We (2 adults and a dog) stayed here for 5 nights in March 2025, with trips to Kawerau, Tauranga and Opotiki.We found the unit to be clean, modern, secure, private, well-equipped. The owners are friendly and helpful. And Sandie is friendly, playful, affectionate, delightful. (Sandie is a dog.). We didnt use the pool, but it was tempting.We lived nearby back in the 70s, so we knew that it is a good neighbourhood, (We also knew that its not "close to Ohope" any more than the rest of Whakatane - a short drive over the hill to that lovely beach).We would stay there again, and have already recommended it to family and friends.

Summary: Lovely little cottage. The single bed is in a room with no ventilation so was very hot. Nice to have the pool and poolside seating. It is near Whakatane township but we thought it was near Ohope when we booked, so was a little confusing.
